Free Group Ride
CTS Red #5: South Lake Loop w/Mercer Island
Event has already happened.
This week's ride departs from the Renton Community Center, goes north past the Seahawks Headquarters, and follows the Eastrail to the I-90 trail. We will ride the I-90 trail west bound to Mercer Island where will will turn south on E Mercer Way and ride clockwise around the south end of Mercer Island before rejoining the I-90 trail and crossing Lake Washington on the Homer M Hadley Memorial Bridge. We will have a brief stop at the East Portal Viewpoint Park for a group photo and then we ride Lk Washington Blvd S back towards our start in Renton. There are restrooms and water at the start, Mile 7.1 Newcastle Beach Park, and Mile 26.8 Seward Park.
We will meet at the Renton Community Center (North side, see map attached) and be ready to ride at 9:00 AM. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early so that you can get yourself and bicycle prepared for the ride. We will start with the required safety briefing and ride announcements, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
