Ride Up North, CENTENNIAL TRAIL, Snohomish to Armar trailhead
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride on the beautiful, paved Centennial Trail, going north approximately one-half of its length, and back. The ride is 33 miles long and our pace will be 12-14 mph, about the minimum a rider should strive for if they hope to do a 2-day STP. This is the 2nd in my Ride Up North series. As we progress through the season the rides will become longer and/or harder. This ride is still in the base-mile building phase for most riders. However, for riders who are already training more intensely, perhaps for a 1- day STP or RAMROD, this could be considered a nice recovery ride.
Let's meet at the Snohomish Public Library parking lot and please be ready to ride at 11:00am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally.
Restrooms/porta-potties are available at various trailheads along the route.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below, and e-mail riders at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
