Free Group Ride
FRIDAY RIDERS: Eastside Ride to Medina
Event has already happened.
**Note: ride starts at 11 am.** Grab your bike and join me on a leisurely paced ride (with hills) from Kirkland’s Juanita Beach Park to the Medina neighborhood in Bellevue. Free parking and restrooms available at the start.
We start out cycling on Kirkland roads following Lake Washington Blvd for 5 miles. Connect to the hilly 520 trail and follow to Evergreen Point Rd. The ride leader will wait at the top of hills for everyone to catch up. Diverge to Medina’s upscale neighborhood and enjoy cycling past beautiful homes and gardens looping around the Overlake Golf Club. Restrooms are available at Medina Beach Park. Return to Kirkland and follow Lake Washington Blvd to the Carillon Point Starbucks for a food stop so bring a mask, money or credit card if you wish to purchase snacks. Continue to Marina Park (bathrooms available) then uphill on Market Street and back to Juanita Beach Park and the cars.
There are hills on this ride so low gears and knowledge of gear shifting is required.
Carry a full water bottle with you. Please bring spare tube, patch kit and CO2 inflation or pump to fix your own flat tire. Helmets are required!
If weather is inclement check the comments section for ride cancellation notice. A notice will be posted 2 hours prior to meet time and the ride leader will not appear at the start.
See you there!
