Free Group Ride
TREATS: Sultan Pastry Ride
Event has already happened.
Escape the traffic and join us for a 24 mile steady paced ride (12-14mph) along mostly scenic rural roads traveling from Monroe, and over to Sultan where we'll enjoy pastry at the Sultan Bakery. Sultan Bakery currently requires masks. On our return to Monroe we will follow beautiful Ben Howard Road on the south side of the Skykomish River. Much of the route is a mixture of flats and low rolling hills. There are a few hills with a bit more grade sprinkled along the route, but they are short in length and we will regroup at the top. A Ride With GPS route is available at the link below. If you want a cue sheet, please print one and bring it with you.
Please be ready to ride at 10:00. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that’s done. If you miss the briefing, you will not be able to ride with the group.
Public restrooms and water are available at the start, at the Sultan Bakery (mile 11), and at Al Borland Park (mile 21).
Be sure to bring a spare tube as well as the tools and knowledge to fix a flat. If the roads are wet please have fenders with long mud flaps or plan on riding at the end of the line.
Should conditions call for a cancellation, a cancellation notice will be posted in the comment section below at least two hours prior. If canceled, the ride leader will not be at the start.
We hope you can join us.
