Lake Sammamish Loop (with detour)

Join us for a ride from Redmond's Idyllwood Park on a 24.2 mile route at Steady Pace (12-14 mph)!

Normally the ride around Lake Sammamish is almost completely flat, but because of construction on West Lake Sammamish Parkway, we'll need to climb a bit at the beginning of the ride and ride down 164th Ave NE for a while before we can rejoin West Lake Sammamish Parkway just before Vasa Park. After our coffee break at PCC we'll ride for a while on the East Lake Sammamish Trail, then on the road because of construction on the trail, and then back on the trail after Inglewood road. We'll take the shortcut through Marymoor Park before finishing at Idyllwood Park. 

Let's meet in the Idyllwood Park parking lot and please be ready to ride at 10:00am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together.

Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water/coffee at PCC in Issaquah at mile 10.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
