FRUMPS 4 Mercer Island – May Valley - Issaquah

Join us for a social, 44-mile ride from Mercer Island through Newcastle and scenic May Valley to Issaquah for lunch at Safeway or Starbucks. On the way back we’ll ride around the south end of Mercer Island.

Restrooms are available at the start, at Newport Hills Park (Mile 7.5), at lunch (Mile 23), and at Enatai Beach Park (Mile 32) on the return. 

Pace will be Steady (12-14 MPH). Our goal will be to stay together. We’ll climb and descend hills at our own pace and regroup if we get separated. Electric-assist bikes are welcome.

You are required to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. Please unregister if you decide not to ride.

Let’s meet at Aubrey Davis Park on Mercer Island near the intersection of SE 22^nd St. and 70^th Ave SE. Please be ready to ride at 9:45 AM when we will do the safety briefing and get on the road. IMPORTANT TO NOTE:  If you are not present and ready at 9:45 when we start the safety briefing, you will not be allowed to participate. 

Bring ID, a spare tube, tools and knowledge to fix a flat, a cell phone in case you cannot finish, water bottles, pocket snacks, and money for lunch just in case. Please have fenders if the roads are wet or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start, and Ride Leader(s) may not be at the start location. It is always wise to check the Comments section before you drive to the start of a ride. Rain during the ride could modify the route.
