Lynnwood South and Back

Join us for a ride from Lynnwood on a 22.9 mile route at a steady pace of 12-14 mph.

We will ride the inter-urban through Shoreline down to Green Lake. Take a short break at the Urban Bakery (Green Lake) and then proceed around the east side of the lake, then onto NE Ravenna Blvd and eventually connect to the Burke Gilman Trail. As we ride the trail we will have many sites to see along Lake Washington headed towards Lake Forest Park. If needed we will stop at Starbucks to fill up our water bottles. We will finish our ride with a slight climb out of Lake Forest Park to Mountlake Terrace and back to the Lynnwood Park-and-Ride.

Let's meet at the Lynnwood Park and Ride  and please be ready to ride at 7:50am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to Regroup at the top. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms Are NOT available at the start. We will stop for a coffee/snack/water and restroom at mile 11.4. An optional stop at mile 21.9 to fill-up our water bottles.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
