Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us for a scenic and somewhat hilly ride starting from Woodinville to Carnation, through beautiful Cherry Valley and Duvall on a 55 mile route.
We will start at the Woodinville Sports Field complex parking lot and ride over Hollywood Hill, descending to Woodinville-Duvall Road then up to Trilogy Parkway with a restroom and water break at Redmond Ridge Park. Then we go down Union Hill Road, onto Ames Lake -Carnation Road with an optional restroom stop at mile 26 and into the town of Carnation at mile 30 where we will stop for coffee, water and snacks for about 20 minutes. From there we proceed to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail for a short ride over hard packed dirt (a 25mm tire should be fine). Then we go up Stillwater Hill for a short, steep climb onto Kelley Road following some back roads making our way to Cherry Valley Road and then into Duvall where we can take a short optional restroom, water and food stop at the Shell Gas Station convenience store mile 43. From there we ride up Woodinville-Duvall Road and take some back roads climbing up towards Hollywood Hill and descend to the start.
We will ride at a Moderate Pace of 14-16 MPH and limit our speed on any multi-use trails. Climbs and descents are at each rider's own pace. We will regroup at the top of hills, and occasionally to make sure the group stays together. Restrooms and water are available at the start, at mile 15, mile 26, Starbucks in Carnation at mile 30 and the Shell Gas Station convenience store at mile 43.
Let's meet at the Woodinville Sports Field parking lot and please be ready to ride at 8:45 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group. There is plenty of parking, restroom and water available at the start.
Ride with GPS route map and cue sheet are at the Link, below. If you want a cue sheet, please print it.
Bring ID; spare tube, tools, patch kit, pump, and skills to fix flats; and have a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails. If roads are wet, fenders with long mudflaps are very highly recommended - otherwise you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
Please join us for a fun ride!
