Woodinville-Carnation Loop

Join us for a scenic ride starting from the Woodinville Sports Field parking lot across from Wilmot Park on a 48 mile route at a moderate pace of 14-16 MPH   Restrooms, water and parking are available at the start.

Let's meet at the Woodinville Sports Field Parking Lot and please be ready to ride at 9:00am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will start along the Sammamish Trail then up Hollywood Hill and down to Woodinville-Duvall road and descend to West Snoqualmie Valley Road. From there we ride through the Snoqualmie Valley with a restroom stop in Chinook Bend Natural Area at mile 19 and then to the town of Carnation where we will stop for coffee at mile 22. From there we will ride for a short distance on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail (the trail is hardpacked dirt and gravel and a road tire should be fine) and retrace our route to Ames Lake Road and ascend up Union Hill Road to Redmond Ridge Park where we will have a restroom and  water stop at mile 35. From there we will  have a great descent down Novelty Hill Road and eventually make our way up Education Hill in Redmond, across the ridge and another great descent back to the start.  

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup frequently. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum 15 MPH

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
