LUMPs Matthews Beach Seattle - Pie/Bakery Ride

****NOTE:  START TIME AT 12:00 P.M. ****

PIE RIDE:  We will ride north on the Burke-Gilman Trail to the Hillcrest Bakery, www.hillcrestbakery.com,  in Bothell, just beyond Blyth Park, in downtown Bothell. We will then take a pie, apple fritter, doughnut, cheesecake or cookie break at  the bakery.  There is also another doughnut location about 1/2 block east on Main Street called the Countryside Doughnut Shop for another option.  Coffee is available at both locations and at "Social Grounds Coffee & Tea Co." just north of the bakeries, www.socialgroundscoffee.com. We will stay for about 30 minutes and then return to Matthews Beach. Helmets and a functioning bicycle are required. 

Route:  Come, have fun, converse and enjoy this social bike ride along the Burke Gilman Trail.  The terrain is flat. 

Cue sheets:  No cue sheets provided. Stay together ride. 

Fenders: If the riding surfaces are wet, please come equipped with fenders long enough to keep the person riding behind you dry or be the caboose.

Ride start: Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the liability waiver and hear the safety briefing. We will depart about noon. Water and restrooms are available at the start.  Be prepared if you have a mechanical problem e.g. flat tire.

Register: Please sign an e-waiver by clicking on the “Register Now” button at the top of this page (right below the ride title) and enter your information. If you cannot make the ride, please cancel your registration so a spot can be freed up for someone else.

Parking:  Free parking at Matthews Beach parking lot. Arrive early to beat the seagulls for a good spot.

Weather cancellation: - Steady showers or more severe weather will cancel the ride.  Ride cancellation will be announced in the comments section at least two hours before start time and the ride leader(s) will not be at the start.
