Woodland Park-Edmonds hilly loop <39>

Join us for a hilly 39-mile ride from Woodland Park to Edmonds and return, riding at Brisk pace, about 17 mph.

Let's meet at the Lower Woodland Park parking lot near the soccer fields at 0820 for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a prompt departure at 0830. Ride Leader candidate Marc Slonim will be assisting with today's up-and-down fun!

We will climb and descend hills as a group as best we can. We'll regroup as needed at the top of the handful of longer climbs. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Portable toilet (but no water) available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 13 and 29. If it's not too hot, we’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Cloud City Coffee, just a few miles from the finish. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
