Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Blyth Park in Bothell on a 23 mile route at Moderate Pace (14-16 MPH)!
Let's take a break from work or our busy day for a short and hilly ride.
We will be take the Burke Gillman trail to Lake Forest Park, where we start climbing Hamlin Hill, then descend Perkins Hill. We then take the hilly route back to Bothell, where we climb Norway Hill.
We'll meet at the Blyth Park in Bothell at 10:45am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 11:00am.
You can also park at Wayne Golf Course (1/4 mile away) and ride across the trail bridge to Blyth Park.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently at top of hills, and turns. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are available at the start. For this short ride, there are no planned rest stops.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
