A Lark to Madison Park Plus

Join us for a ride from Burnett Linear Park in Renton on a 29 mile route at a steady pace at 12 to 14 mph!

We'll start in Renton at Burnett Linear Park,ride along the Renton Municipal Airport, continuing along the shore of Lake Washington, through the neighborhoods of Rainier Beach, Leschi, finally reaching our destination at Madison Park.  We will stop at the Beaver Reserve to observe beaver dams, birds, possibly turtles and other wildlife in an urban setting.  We'll make a stop at Starbucks in Madison Park for coffee, snacks and restrooms.

Let's meet at the Burnett Linear Park at 9:45am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00. We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together.

Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at Lakeridge Park, mile 2.6.  We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Madison Park Starbucks at mile 15.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
