Looping The Lake from Mercer Island: North Edition

Please note: During COVID-19 restrictions, all Free Group Rides are limited in the number of allowed participants. Registration for the ride (using the red “Register Now” button above) is REQUIRED to participate. If you decide not to ride, please click the red "Cancel My Registration" button above so that an additional spot will be made available to another.

Face coverings (for mouth and nose) are required when the group makes extended stops and coverings are recommended for the duration of the ride. Please bring personal hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and tissues for use at rest stops. 

We will observe current social distancing guidelines when off the bike, and strive to maintain at least 10-12ft separation between riders when on the bike.  

Join us for a scenic and hilly 36 mile ride starting on Mercer Island and around the North end of Lake Washington at a STEADY pace, 12-14 MPH.  We'll climb and descend hills at our own pace, and regroup occasionally.

We'll meet at the Mercer Island Park&Ride at 9:45 for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00.  You MUST attend the briefing in order to join the ride.

Restrooms and water are NOT available at the start, but we will stop along the way for restrooms/water at Marina Park at appx.10 miles and at Logboom Park at 18 miles. There is no planned food stop so bring your favorite pocket sized snack to keep you going.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
