Free Group Ride
South Lake Loop from Enatai
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Enatai Beach Park on a 24 mile route at a Steady pace (12-14mph)!
Let's meet at the 9:45am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00am. There is ample parking and restrooms available at the Enatai Beach Park.
Note: If you do not arrive in time at 9:45am for the safety briefing (including the special COVID-19 safety briefing) you will not be allowed to ride.
The Route
We will ride along Lake Washington with great views of the water. We will make a quick restroom stop at Gene Coulon Park (mile 7) before heading through Renton Airport, we we can catch glimpses of 737 airplanes from all kinds of airlines around the world straight out of the assembly line. Once we get to Seattle there is some climbing before a nice coffee stop at Caffe Vitta in Lakewood (mile 15). We will then descent to ride along Lake Washington Boulevard and climb up to take the I-90 bridge, stopping for a great picture spot before getting on the trail. After a quick jaunt through Mercer Island, we will be back at the start.
Pace is 12-14mph on the flats. We will climb and descend hills at our own pace and regroup at the top of hills. This is a great ride for beginners looking for a bit more of a challenge on a fun social ride.
