Join us for a ride from Renton Old City Hall on a 33 mile route at Moderate pace (14-16 MPH)
This is a short morning ride with climbing we start out at the Old Renton City Hall, stop briefly at Gene Coulon before heading up to Newcastle and on to Bellevue. Our second climb is up the Lake Hills Connector then we take at short break at Lake Hills Park. We descend to Lake Sammamish Parkway, and go up Newport prior to dropping into Factoria. We finish up with a short climb back into Newcastle and down 44th before returning to Old City Hall. Get a little exercise and a bit of fun.
Let's meet at the Renton Old City Hall at 9:45 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 AM.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 1.9 and 15.6. There is no official food stop on this ride riders are encouraged to bring a snack and we’ll stop for a few minutes at mile 15.6 for a mid-point break prior to finishing the ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
