Free Group Ride
Get On Your Bike - English Hill
Event has already happened.
Please note: During COVID-19 restrictions, all Free Group Rides are limited in the number of allowed participants. Registration for the ride (using the red “Register Now” button above) is REQUIRED to participate. If you decide not to ride, please unregister for this ride so that an additional spot will be made available to another.
Face coverings (for mouth and nose) are required when the group makes extended stops. Face coverings are recommended for the duration of the ride. Please bring personal hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and tissues for use at rest stops.
We will observe current social distancing guidelines when off the bike, and strive to maintain at least 10-12ft separation between riders when on the bike.
Join us for a ride from Redmond (At the 60 Acres Soccer Fields) on a 25.1 mile route at Steady pace (12-14 MPH)!
This ride is ideal for beginners. We have one big hill in Redmond - English Hill - before we descend into Woodinville!.
Let's meet at the parking lot for the 60 Acres South Field at 9:45 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 AM.
NOTE: This is a different parking lot than we've been using in previous weeks. Click here to see a map of its location.
Please note: If you are not present for the full safety briefing, including the COVID-19-specific portion, you will not be allowed to ride with us, so please be on time.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently.
There is a portable restroom available at the start, but no water. There are a couple optional restrooms along the way, and we will stop for restrooms and water at mile 9.4 (At Perrigo Park in Redmond).
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
Ride leader mentoring is available for this ride. If you are interested, please contact shaun@ivory.org.
We hope you can join us!
