Around Mercer Island to Madison Park

Please note: During COVID-19 restrictions, all Free Group Rides are limited in the number of allowed participants. Registration for the ride (using the red “Register Now” button above) is REQUIRED to participate. If you decide not to ride, please click the red "Cancel My Registration" button above so that an additional spot will be made available to another.

Face coverings (for mouth and nose) are required when the group makes extended stops. Face coverings are recommended for the duration of the ride. Please bring personal hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and tissues for use at rest stops.

We will observe current social distancing guidelines when off the bike, and strive to maintain at least 10-12ft separation between riders when on the bike.

Join us for a ride from Newport Hills Park & Ride on a 36.3 mile route at moderate (14-16 MPH)!

We will head over to Madison Park via Mercer Island and Lake Washington Boulevard for a cup of coffee at Starbucks before returning across 520 for a return ride through Medina.

Let's meet at the Newport Hills Park and Ride at 10:45am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 11:00am.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally. 

Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 3 at Enetai Beach Park.  We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Madison Park Starbucks at mile 21.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
