Holiday Fun In Seattle

Join us for a ride from Woodland Park in Seattle on a 24 mile route at Moderate Pace (14-16mph on flats)!

We'll head north along the interurban corridor, then cross I-5 for a fun spin down Perkins!  During our return south along the Burke Gilman Trail, we'll cut into some neighborhoods and enjoy some bike boulevards before returning to the trail in the U-district.  A final climb up Wallingford Hill takes us back to the start.

Let's meet at the South Woodland Park, near the soccer field bathroom, at 9:45 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10 sharp!  This ride will be cross-posted with Evergreen Tandem Club and the ride leader will be on a tandem bike.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to mostly stay together with the exception of our fun and speedy Perkins descent.  

Restrooms are available at the start (we meet at the picnic table adjacent to them).  We won't be making any stops other than regroups during the ride but we will be gathering at Blue Star Cafe and Pub just south of the ride start after we're finished. 

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
