Free Group Ride
A South Lake Loop (with coffee)
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Coffee is good. Or tea, if that's your preference! Let's get together for a loop around the south end of Lake Washington on a Saturday morning.
We'll meet at the Old City Hall building in Renton, head up Rainier Ave S, and on to Seward Park. We'll stop in Leschi for coffee, then take the I-90 trail across Mercer Island and over to the East Side. Lake Washington Blvd and the Eastside Rail Corridor trail will take us back to Renton, and there's a lunch option after the ride.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, with regroups after the hills. We'll hold a Steady 12-14 mph pace on level ground; a bit faster with tailwinds, a bit slower with headwinds. The restrooms at the start point may not be available, so Seward Park will be our first rest stop.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
See you Saturday!
