Free Group Ride
Cascade HQ to Medina via 520 Bridge
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Cascade Headquarters across the 520 Bridge to Medina and back on a 21.7 mile route at a Steady Pace, 12-14 MPH. This will be a mentored ride for Cascade Rides Program Manager David Urbina's Ride Leader Certification, so come on out to support him!
Let's meet at the Ride Leader Pavilion no later than 5:15 p.m. for David to lead us through our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 5:30.
We will climb and descend the relatively few hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms, water and the views at Medina Beach Park, about 10 miles from the start, roughly halfway through the route.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
This is an evening ride, so make sure that you have a headlight and taillight that work! Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
