Ellensburg ~ Robinson Canyon Loop

Join us for a ride from The ReCycle Shop in downtown Ellensburg on a 22.8-mile route at Moderate pace 14-16mph.

We will leave Ellensburg traveling west out through Rotary and Irene Rinehart Parks then through suburban small farms and then larger farms. Lots of beautiful or otherwise interesting barns along this route and there may be a multitude of different farm animals, and some wildlife. The roads will be mostly chip seal while riding a large loop before returning to our starting point retracing our path through the parks and into downtown.

Let's meet at The ReCycle Shop at 7:45 for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 8:00.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup as needed.  We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are not available at the start but are available in several area businesses for customer use. We will stop along the way for restrooms at mile 1.5. There is no water along the route so make sure to bring enough, same with snacks. We may detour to a coffee stop near the end of the ride if all riders are interested. There is free parking with unlimited time one block to the west along Water Street.

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
