Free Group Ride
Elliott Bay Trail, revisited
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
The Elliott Bay Trail has been closed for over a year during the construction of Expedia's new home at the north end of the waterfront. Saturday morning, the trail reopens. Let's celebrate with a bike ride!
We'll meet at the Tukwila Community Center, and ride flat roads and trails through South Park and up the Seattle Waterfront. After riding the newly reopened trail, we'll head over to Alki for a short coffee break, before rolling back down to our starting point. This will be a Moderate paced ride; there are minimal hills, and we'll regroup as needed to keep us together.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride. Plan to be at the start point by 7:40, so that we can catch a little of the opening festivities at the trail.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
See you Saturday!
