Cheasty Blvd., Genesee Park & the Arboretum

Join us for a 23.0 mile, 1,530' elevation gain as we bike through the neighborhoods of Capitol Hill, Mt. Baker, Beacon Hill, Columbia City, Leschi, Madrona and Montlake.  Along the way, we will visit Genesee Park, the Arboretum, and stop at a pretty viewpoint in Leschi.  We will have a long, moderate grade climb up Cheasty Blvd, and will also have several short steep climbs including the 3rd, 7th, and 8th steepest streets in Seattle, and will also have one stair climb.  There is one section on an easy dirt trail.  We will re-group on the top of all significant climbs.   

Afterwards, we'll head to the Nickerson Street Saloon for food, drinks and socializing for those interested.  

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

Please make sure to arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the start time to get your bike set up, sign the waiver, and to listen to the safety talk.

The ride leaders will not be at the ride start should conditions be as noted in “Showers Cancels” above.  The ride leader will announce the cancellation in the comments section below at least 2 hours prior to the ride start and will monitor my phone and/or email listed in the contact information.
