South Whidbey Loop

This is a stay together ride on the south end of Whidbey Island. Meet at 7:20 at the Ferry dock, Ferry starts loading about 7:40!, we will take the 8:00 ferry and begin riding ~8:25 from Clinton. The ferry costs about $6 for bike and rider on the way out, free on the way back.

Please check your tires and bike condition before leaving home.  We will limit speed to 15mph when on multi-use paths. This ride is HILLY so the average speed will be less since that is computed for flat no-wind terrain. The effort will be comparable though everyone is different when climbing. This is not for novice riders but anyone with some good hilly ride experience should be fine.  

REGISTRATION: Please click on the bright red  “Register Now” button above to sign up for the ride - it saves time at the start and makes sure I can read your contact info. You have to create an account, but you don't have to become a member or pay.  

Expectations (important, please read!): Arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the ride to get your ferry ticket and bike ready and be part of the safety briefing. S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be ambassadors of the bike community and be safe!  Riders should be able to maintain the pace.   All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by having a positive attitude, enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Rainy weather will cancel the ride.
