WRUMPS Five Town Loop

Please join us for a mid-week 54 mile ride that will take us through five towns.  We will start in Auburn from the Outlet Collection Mall and ride through town towards Black Diamond climbing up the Auburn Black Diamond Road.  A nice 4 mile climb that will wake your legs for the rest of the journey.  We will continue from Black Diamond towards Maple Valley and then on to Renton.  After Renton we will head back south passing through Kent and back to our start in Auburn.  A nice counter clockwise circuit with a little bit of everything.  Climbs, descents, flat sections and rollers.

Please arrive early, at least 15-20 minutes before the ride start for our pre-ride safety briefing, we will depart promptly at 8:30 am.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to re-group at the top of all the big climbs. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum, usually 15 mph with the exception of a 2 mile stretch of trail through Renton.  The speed limit there is 10 mph.

Restrooms are available at the start in the Walmart store. We will have a food stop at mile 19.4 at the Maple Valley Starbucks.  There is also a QFC next door to the Starbucks.  Our next bathroom stop will be at mile 32 at the Renton Community Center and again at mile 42 at Three Friends Fishing Hole.

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
