East Pierce Exploration

Join for a ride from Heritage Rec Center where we will ride a mixture of trails and roads to Graham for a coffee/lunch stop around mile 20, then we'll skirt the industrial area of Fredrickson using backroads whenever possible.  There will be one long sustained climb and a couple of shorter punchy climbs along the way.  Please park in the NE corner of the Heritage Rec Center parking lot off 128th. 

Please register for the ride using the red "Register Now" button at the top of this page.  Registration is not mandatory but it allows us to print the rider list beforehand and helps us save time at the ride start.  On-line registration closes the night before, and if you decide to ride after that we will have a waiver sheet for you to sign manually.   

If you are a new rider, we are very happy to have you with us.  Please read the newcomer link at the top of the page, and keep in mind that a helmet is required on all Cascade rides.  Also, riders should be able to sustain the pace, carry nutrition/water, and have the know-how and equipment to fix a flat tire.  Everyone should carry a phone to call for assistance if needed. We will regroup after climbs and at major intersections. On paved trail portions, we will be slowing down when passing pedestrians.

Arrive at least 20 minutes early so that you can get yourself ready, sign the waiver, and listen to the S.M.A.R.T. briefing. This allows us to have an on-time departure.

Be considerate and have full fenders with rear flap if roads are wet or a prediction of rain is in the forecast.

Cancellation Policy: If needed, a weather cancellation will be posted two hours prior in the Comments section, below, and the ride leader will not be at the start. Heavy showers, snow/ice, high winds, or poor air quality will cancel.  Please check here before leaving for the ride.
