LUMPs Matthews Beach Seattle - Pie ride Northend

****NOTE:  START TIME AT 12:00 P.M. and BRING CASH ONLY for PIE****

PIE RIDE:  We will ride north on the Burke-Gilman Trail to the North Shore Senior Center (NSSC) in Bothell, just beyond Blyth Park near Bothell. We then take a pie, brownie or cookie break at NSSC. A variety of homemade pies with ice cream, whip cream and coffee are usually available for riders to purchase at a reasonable price.  Please BRING CASH ONLY for any purchases, since they do not take charge or debit cards. We will be there for about 30 to 60 minutes, use the restrooms if needed and then return to Matthews Beach. Helmets and a functioning bicycle are required. 

Route:  Come, have fun, converse and enjoy this social bike ride along the Burke Gilman Trail.  The terrain is flat. 

Cue sheets:  No cue sheets provided. Stay together ride. 

Fenders: If the riding surfaces are wet, please come equipped with fenders long enough to keep the person riding behind you dry or be the caboose.

Ride start: Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the liability waiver and hear the safety briefing. Water and restrooms are available at the start.  Be prepared if you have a mechanical problem e.g. flat tire.

Register: Please sign an e-waiver by clicking on the “Register Now” button at the top of this page (right below the ride title) and enter your information. If you cannot make the ride, you do not need to unregister.

Parking:  Free parking at Matthews Beach parking lot. Arrive early to beat the sea gulls for a good parking spot.

Weather cancellation: - Showers, snow, icy conditions or more severe weather will cancel the ride.  Ride cancellation will be announced in the comments section at least two hours before start time and the ride leader(s) will not be at the start.
