Spring Ride to Jefferson Park
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us for a spring ride from Bainbridge Island Senior Center to Jefferson Park on Beacon Hill.
Pace is 10-12 mph on the flat.
Let's meet at the the Senior Center at 9:50 am for our pre-ride safety briefing; We will then ride to Bainbridge Island Ferry to catch the 10:25 am ferry.
The ride will wind through the international district and we will take the 18 Street Greenway up to Jefferson Park. We will explore this amazing park and stop for lunch. Our ride will then take us down Cheasty Blvd, and over to Mt Baker neighborhood. We will stop at Bradner Gardens and then ride down to the 1-90 bike trail and to the ferry.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms available at the start and at the park. We will have lunch in Jefferson Park. Please bring a bag lunch.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start. However, the ride leader will be at the start.
We hope you can join us!
