Free Group Ride
Monroe to Sultan Bakery
Event has already happened.
We will meet at Lake Tye Park in Monroe and head toward Sultan. It will be along roads in the country with low traffic. If a rest stop is needed and the group decides, they can stop at the Sultan Bakery where you can get something "small" to eat before we head back along scenic Ben Howard Road.
In addition to steady rain, ice/snow and any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is canceled due to hazardous conditions, a notice will be posted here, in the Comments section below, by 8:00 AM on the day of the ride. If that notice is posted, the ride leaders will not be at the start.
Ride Notes: All riders should bring ID; spare tube, tools, patch kit, pump, and skills to fix flats; a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails; and snacks and water. Waiting for flat tire repair or mechanical issues will be at the discretion of the ride leader. Please dress appropriately and use fenders with long mudflaps on your bike if the roads are wet. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early (9:40 AM) to get yourself ready, listen to the safety briefing, and sign or check the waiver. 10:00 AM is roll-out time!
Pre-registering online: Please preregister for this ride online by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page and entering your information. Preregistering saves time at the beginning the ride and provides legible emergency contact information. And if you cannot make the ride, you do not need to un-register.
