Auburn - Black Diamond 48

Let's meet at the Auburn Community Center parking lot (at the end of 9th St SE) and roll out at 9:30 for a moderate paced, 48 mile loop to Black Diamond and back.

We'll head out of Auburn on Auburn-Black Diamond Rd turning right on 148th Way up to Lake Holm Rd. Then on to the rollers of Lake Moneysmith Rd and Lake Holm Rd. Continuing on Auburn-BD Rd we'll bypass Black Diamond on the way to Ravensdale, then down through Kanaskat, Palmer and over the Green River Gorge bridge before riding back into Black Diamond for a coffee/restroom stop at the bakery at mile 33. Returning to Auburn on Hwy 169 and Green Valley Rd.

The ride leader will ride a moderate pace on the flats. Faster riders are welcome to ride ahead but please regroup as appropriate. We'll have short regroups at the top/bottom of long climbs/descents and at major intersections.

There are restrooms at the start in the community center. Please arrive at the start 20 minutes early so you have time to ready your bike, sign the ride waiver, and listen to the SMART safety talk.

If ride is canceled due to weather it will be posted here in comments by 7:30 am and ride leader will not be waiting at the start. Please take the time to make sure your bike is in good working order and be prepared to fix flats and deal with routine mechanical issues. Bring a phone in case of major breakdown.
