Pre-Populaire from Green Lake

Seattle Randonneur's Sprint Populaire event starts Saturday at 9am from the Woodland Park Soccer Field Parking Lot.  Since I like riding a century each calendar month year round, I'll be riding 37 miles starting at 6AM to increase the total distance for the day to 100 miles.  Come join me for some flat, early morning miles!  Note that the Populaire is also free but self paced and not affiliated with Cascade.  I will be riding that as well.  There is a link to the web site for that event below as well.

This ride starts at 6am which is within morning Civil Twilight.  Lights are recommended for this ride.

Route: From Green Lake, we'll go down Ravenna to the Burke Gilman and around the north end of the lake.  A short climb will take us to the Cross Kirkland Connector (hard packed dirt, road bike tires are fine), then back across the 520 bridge.  McGraw and Boyer will take us to the University Bridge and we'll rejoin the BG trail before heading west on 36th and north on Stone Way back to the Soccer Fields.  We aim to arrive before the 9am event start.

Pace and Regroup: This will be a moderate ride largely on multiuse paths, so we will limit breaks to ensure we're back in time to check in for the Populaire event.

Restrooms:  There are bathrooms at the start.  

Please Bring: Riders should bring necessary tools and supplies to fix flats. Please have arrangements to provide self-sag if you are unable to complete the route. 

Meeting Location:  We will meet Woodland Park Soccer Field Parking Lot (cross street 52nd and Green Lake Way N.  

Registration: To save time at the start, please register for the ride by clicking on the red Register Now button. No need to unregister if you are no longer able to ride.
