Winter Warm Up Ride Along Lake WA

Let's get outside on our bikes for a friendly social ride and get our bodies warmed up through exercise.

We'll start at Gas Works Park, head along the Burke Gilman Tail over to the University of Washington and along Lake Washington Blvd to Seward Park.  We'll take a short bathroom break and head back along the lake to our start.  It's a beautiful ride along the lake where we have a view of the east side, and if we're lucky, a view of The Mountain.

There are bathrooms at the start as well as our half-way point at Seward Park.

In addition to steady rain, ice/snow and any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is canceled due to hazardous conditions, a notice will be posted here, in the comments section below, by 8:00 a.m. on the day of the ride.  If that notice is posted, the ride leader will not be at the start.

Ride Notes:  All riders should bring ID; spare tube, tools, patch kit, pump, and skills to fix flats; a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails; and snacks and water. Waiting for mechanical issues will be at the discretion of the ride leader. It’s winter, so please dress appropriately and use fenders with long mudflaps on your bike.   Please arrive at least 20 minutes early (9:40 a.m.) to get yourself ready, listen to the safety briefing and sign or check the waiver. 10:00 a.m. is roll-out time!

Pre-registering online: If you have a Cascade account, you can pre-register for this ride online by clicking on the Register button at the top of this page and entering your information. Pre-registering saves time at the beginning the ride and provides legible emergency contact information. If you cannot make the ride, you do not need to un-register.
