Lakes and Trails from Issaquah

Ride Description: A fun, suburban ride from Issaquah to University Village for lunch.  

Route: From Issaquah, we will head north around Lake Sammamish, then we'll be on trails through Marymoor and along 520.  Once we cross the 520 bridge, we'll pick up the Burke Gilman to University Village for lunch.  After that, we head south past the stadium and along Lake Washington, then we'll cross the I-90 bridge on the Mountains to Sound trail.  Once in Factoria, it's up to Eastgate Plaza, under I-90 via the tunnel, then down to the lake again before returning to the start.

Pace and Regroup: The pace will be moderate (14-16mph on the flats).  Since most of this ride is suburban with few climbs, we'll stay together as much as possible.  Please have fenders with full length mud flaps unless you're OK with riding behind everyone else.  We will maintain the speed limit (and common courtesy) on multi-use trails.  We won't linger too long at lunch in an effort to not cool off too much.  However, there are pizza places to assist in this regard.

Restrooms:  Gerk's opens at 10am, and there are also bathrooms at Lowe's close by.

Please Bring: Riders should bring necessary tools and supplies to fix flats. We will be reasonable about stopping for mechanicals, but also sensitive to cold weather issues surrounding extended time off the bike.  

Meeting Location:  The start is at Gerk's Issaquah Cycles.  Plenty of parking.  Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start in order to prepare yourself and your bike prior to safety briefing.
