Fall is here and that means that it's time for Seattle Patry Rides!
This week, we will ride on Seattle neighborhood streets as well as some trails. We'll head out along the Burke-Gilman Trail before riding north to Wedgwood. We'll ride through Ravenna and Green Lake before climbing up to Loyal Heights. After a photo op at Sunset Park, we'll cruise down to Ballard's Cafe Besalu for pastries before returning to Gas Works via the Burke-Gilman. We will roll promptly at 9:30am so please arrive by 9:20 to get ready, sign a waiver, and listen to the safety briefing. Registering here will make the process easier. In addition to showers, any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If the ride is cancelled due to hazardous conditions, the notice will be posted here in the comments section below, and on the Meetup announcement page by 7:30 a.m. on the day of the ride. If that notice is posted, the ride leaders will not be at the start.
We will keep the group together for this social ride, riding at the low end of the steady pace with hills taken at your own pace. Please pack water and tools/tubes to fix a flat as always. You should also bring your own cue sheet as well as cash or credit card for treats at Cafe Besalu.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
