Saturday Morning Ride in Snohomish County (Vigorous)

Come and join us this Saturday morning for a 40 mile, vigorous-paced ride. Stay fit and enjoy the beauty and interesting sights in Snohomish County! 

Today we will meet in the SE corner of the Lynnwood Transit Center near the Interurban Trail at 0920 for our pre-ride brief, then rolling at 0930. Our route heads west to Edmonds to a magestic water overlook: sights of the ferry, Puget Sound, Kitsap County, and the Olympics. After a gradual climb be ready for a great downhill! It ends at a little gem of a road with another fine view of the water. If you're cold, fear not; a two-mile climb back up will get the blood pumping! Bike lanes and back roads then lead us through Everett, Mill Creek and back to Lynnwood. Please note: there are no restrooms at the start. Restroom breaks at miles 10 and 24 (optional stop at mile 36).  Hope you can join the fun!

Expectations:

• Please be ready to ride at least 10 minutes before the start of the ride to check off your name or sign the waiver and be part of the safety briefing.
• If the roads are wet or there is rain in the forecast, please respect the rider behind you by having fenders that cover your tire to about 2 inches from the ground.
• Riders should be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. Bring a charged cellphone if possible.
• If you desire a cue sheet, please print your own copy (see the link below).
• Your registration on this website is appreciated. Click the red "REGISTER NOW" button at the top of this page. You don't need to be a member of the club, but you do have to create an account.
• Steady rain or other unsafe conditions cancels the ride. If the ride is canceled, it will be posted by 07:00 am in the comment section below. In that case the ride leaders will not be at the start. 
• We will limit speed to 15mph when on multi-use paths.
