Hills with Tim and Joe

Join Joe and I for some Sunday morning hills.  Please note that the route link provided is only a starting point for the ride.  We will add some bonus hills as we go along the route, just to add to the fun.  If you have a favorite hill along the way we can add it in.  The general goal for the ride will be to do 4,000 or more feet of climbing in less than 40 miles.  Riders are welcome to take the hills at their own pace and we wait at the top to regroup.  Please note the waits will be for a reasonable amount of time for the whole group.  So if you are struggling you may need to finish the ride on your own.  Extra hills added in will be out and backs, so you can always get back to the route to finish on your own if needed.  The hills on this route will be steep, so please be prepared.  If you are not a fairly strong hill rider, this may not be an appropriate ride for you. 

We will start at the Newport Hills park and ride and there are no restrooms at the start.  We can stop along the way for a restroom break if needed.  Please arrive early and be ready to ride by 8:45 am so we can do the SMART safety briefing and depart promptly at 9:00 am. If you are not there for the safety brief, you will not ride.

In the event of showers or worse the ride leader will not be at the start but will post a cancellation notice in the comments section of this posting by 07:00 on ride day.  Please check the comments section before driving to the ride start.  Showers during the ride could amend the route. 

If you have a Cascade account you may register online up until 07:00 am on the day of the ride by selecting the register button at the top of this posting. If your plans change, you do not need to un-register.  You are also welcome to sign in at the start where I will have a waiver sheet.
