Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
We meet in the north east corner of the Mercer Island Park and Ride lot at I-90 and 8001 N. Mercer Way. There is no restroom at the beginning of the ride.
This is a fun ride that takes in a few hills and interesting sights while biking through Bellevue on the way to Issaquah. From Mercer Island we head east across Lake Washington and wind our way over Mercer Slough. Heading north and then east, we climb up Lake Hills Boulevard. At the top, we head south to amble through neighborhoods before dropping down to West Lake Sammamish Parkway SE and into Issaquah. Note that we ride together, and regroup at the top of a hill. After a brief break for coffee and pastries at the Starbucks on Gilman Boulevard, we will climb Newport Way hill on the return. The route takes us down Coal Creek Parkway, under I-405 and then back to the start on Mercer Island.
The ride with GPS route map is in the link below. Cue sheets will not be provided, please print one if desired. Please RSVP by clicking the red REGISTER button at the top of the page. Please be curteous to your fellow riders by arriving at least 20 minutes before the start of the ride to prepare your bike, check in, and listen to the S.M.A.R.T. talk. Bring all the tools and tubes needed to fix a flat. If weather such as steady rain or other adverse conditions occur, a ride notice will be posted in the comments below, two hours prior, and the ride leader will not be at the start.
