Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
The weather should be perfect for this Friday ride! Please join us as we kick off a great weekend. This ride will relatively flat for the first 31 miles with a few hills in the last 20 to make it interesting. This will be a relaxed social ride with a pace of 14-16 mph on the flats. We will regroup as needed and at the tops of the more challenging climbs. We will start and end our ride at the Cascade Bicycle Club. The ride will take us North over Lake Washington where we will have a bathroom stop at Blythe Park (mile 8.8). We continue on to Remond for Lunch (mile 17.7) where you can get Jamba Juice, Jimmy John's or Trader Joes. After lunch, we will bike along the East side of Lake Sammamish and then head West where we will have another bathroom stop at Enatai Park (mile 38.2) before heading up through Medina and West over the 520 bridge.
If you would like to join us, please register for the ride by clicking on the "Register Now" button under the ride title above. This will save us time at the start. If you are unable to attend you do not need to "un-register." Please arrive early enough at the starting point to prepare yourself for the ride and to listen to the S.M.A.R.T. safety briefing prior to the published departure time. Bring water, snacks, spare tube, tools, patch kit, and skills to fix flats; and have a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails. We will try to wait for mechanical breakdowns but may not be able to wait for everything. Make sure you know the way back to the starting point in case you get separated from the group.
Below you will find a link to the RidewithGPS which will show you the route and elevation changes. You can download it onto you GPS devide or you can print the Cue Sheet and/or copy it to your phone. If you are new to Cascade rides please read the “Welcome newcomers” information at http://www.cascade.org/grouprides.
