Sunday Morning Ride around Bainbridge Island

Ride Description: 

Early Sunday Ride on Bainbridge Island-Very Hilly but not Chilly

This ride is a loop around Bainbridge Island with many hills.  On Sunday Mornings there are more pedestrians on the roads than cars.  This is a great way to see beautiful gardens and homes on the island.  The distance is only 33 miles but there are plenty of hills to make a great workout.  (2200 feet elevation gain) This ride is for experienced bikers who have been riding +50 miles almost every weekend this summer.   Make sure you bring food, water and ferry fare ($9.35) for this ride.  Sunday mornings there are plenty of free on street parking spots available in Downtown Seattle. Enter the Ferry Terminal at the Yesler Entrance.  We will meet at Lane 37 at 7:40 AM. Ferry attendants will direct you there.   Bring a bungee cord for tying your bike to the vessel.   The SMART talk will be done on the vessel passenger deck level…Seattle Side.

At the end of the ride there will be an optional stop for snack, lunch, or ice cream at Cup Espresso Café,

Registration:  Please be sure to register on the club page by clicking the red Register Now button at the top of the page at least 24 hours before the ride start. You must establish a free account with the Cascade Bicycle Club to register.

The Basics:  As customary for all Cascade rides, please make sure you wear a helmet and necessary gear and knowledge to fix any flats you may get along the way.  The group will not stop to repair flats or mechanical issues.

These rides are not supported. There will be short rest stops and a food stop along the route; come prepared with your own food and beverages.
