Get Out and Ride - Orting to Burnett and Back
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
It should be a lovely day so get out your bike and ride! This ride is excellent if you haven't been on your bike in a while or if you are looking for a comfortable, casual morning ride.
We start from the Foothills Trail in downtown Orting - the central park across from the Post Office. The majority of the ride we will ride on the trail, but there will be about 10 miles where we'll be riding on the street. This ride will take us up the Foothills trail to South Prairie, through some trees, and across a tall bridge. We'll exit the trail mile marker 10.5, head south on 165 towards Burnett, on to Carbornado S Prairie Rd and Johns Rd E where we begin the rollers and ride back to the trail. We will keep the published pace on flats, but you can go up and down hill at your own pace. The group will stay together. It’s nice to bring your own cue sheet. Please pack water, snack, and tools/tubes to fix a flat as always.
We will roll at 8:30 am so please come early enough to get ready, sign a waiver, and listen to the safety briefing. Registering here will make the process easier. In addition to showers, any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is cancelled due to hazardous conditions, the notice will be posted here in the comments section below by 6:30 am on the day of the ride. If that notice is posted, the ride leader will not be at the start.

- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
