FRIDAY RIDERS: Three Lakes and Two Dead Ends

We'll explore the edges of the construction zone where the Interurban Trail is closed in Lynnwood.  Since there's no through traffic on Ash Way near the north end of the road closure, we'll enjoy a remarkably quiet and lovely sojourn into the Swamp Creek watershed, enjoying trees and wildflowers and hearing woodpeckers and assorted other birds.  Then we'll head up to Lake Stickney, and also circumnavigate Silver Lake before our lunch stop at Piroshky & Crepes. For those of you keeping track, the third lake is Martha Lake, which we'll get glimpses of at the start of the route. 

Bring money for the refueling stop, water and snacks, and a spare tube and tools for flat fixing. Come early for the safety briefing -- we'll try to leave promptly at 10am.

If it's raining or extremely windy that day, I'll post a cancellation notice here by 8:00 am. If it looks like intermittant rain showers, I'll be at the ride start and will consult the Dark Sky app to make my decision about riding or not. Feel free to call me at 425-238-4045 for updates that morning.

DIRECTIONS TO START: From I-5 just north of Lynnwood, take the 164th St SW exit and turn onto 164th heading east towards Mill Creek. Turn left (north) at the 2nd traffic light after the freeway, at Meadow Road. Turn right at 146th St SW, and the park will be on your right just past 4th Ave W.
