Free Group Ride
Ballard to Discovery Park Lighthouse
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Come tour the exciting area of Ballard and Magnolia. We will meet up at Sound View Park at 8:45 for a pre ride brief and roll at 9 AM. Bring coffee money for a mid ride snack. Soundview Park has some parking, restrooms, and water. From here it is all downhill to the Hiram M Chittenden (Ballard) Locks. After walking across, we have a few steep hills before a scenic descent to the West Point Lighthouse. Water is available and an eagle pair may be visible. Back up the hill for some rolling terrain around Magnolia with views of the Puget Sound. We will circle Lk Union with a coffee stop mid way. Our goal will be to stay together, regrouping as needed at the top of longer climbs. We'll observe a 15 mph limit when on multi-use trails. Restrooms available at the start and Ballard Locks. Fenders are appreciated if the roads are wet. Steady rain cancels. Hope you can join us.
