S.P.O.K.E.S. (Sunday Pedallers on Kinda Easy Streets) moves to Seattle this month. Join us at Gas Works Park ( parking lot) and we'll take the Burke Gilman trail past Theo's Chocolate and on to the Ballard Locks. We cross the locks as the boats and ships allow, then on to a brief touch of Discovery Park (our short hill). We drop down to another trail that takes us to the Olympic Sculpture Garden where we'll snack on our lunches (PBJ is always good!) and head back. There is a bathroom stop near this area. We'll travel past Seattle Pacific, cross the Fremont Bridge and back to Gas Works Park.
Meet at Gas Works Park parking lot to sign the waiver, listen to safety briefing, and meet other riders. Please bring a spare tube, patch kit and pump to change your own flat tire. Dress appropriately for the weather in layers that can be added or removed. Helmets are required!
If the weather is inclement check below in the comments section (Cascade calendar). The ride will be cancelled for rain. Check the comments section 2 hours prior to the start for cancellation information.
Pre-registration is available and saves you time at the ride start, please use the 'Register Now' red button (Cascade calendar).
