Let's get out and ride and while we're at it, ride across the both I-90 and 520! We'll start the ride from Gas Works Park (where there are restrooms) and head over to the Abroretum, down to Leschi, and up and over the I-90 Bridge. From there we'll wind our way around Mercer Island and into downtown Bellevue where we'll make a pit stop at the Bellevue Downtown Park. From here we'll travel through Meydenbauer and Medina and finally the 520 bridge and back on the Burke Gilman trail to Gas Works.
Roll-out time is 10 am. Please arrive 20 minutes in advance to ready your bike, check in, and participate in the SMART safety briefing. Please register in advance to expediate the check-in process. Please come to the ride with tools and knowledge of how to fix a flat, a cue sheet or the route loaded to some device in case you need to continue on your own, water for the ride, and and some munchies to refuel if you like.
In addition to showers, any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is cancelled due to hazardous conditions, the notice will be posted here in the comments section below, and on the Meetup announcement page by 8:00 am on the day of the ride. If that notice is posted, the ride leaders will not be at the start.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
