EARTHDREAM Rides Even More Rainy Day Hills

EAstside Ride The Hill DREAM rides are focused on helping strong riders get stronger by training on challenging hills. You can ride the hills at your own pace; we will regroup at the top. EARTHDREAM rides emphasize teamwork and cooperative riding in a way that is fun and encourages each rider to develop their cycling skills.  Our pace tends to be consistent especially on hills where the climbs are fast and strong.  Riders who struggle to maintain a vigorous pace may find it challenging to stay with the group.  We will attempt to accommodate people with a range of abilities, but riders who are significantly off the group pace should come prepared to finish the ride on their own if necessary.

This week's ride focuses on hills in Kirkland and Redmond including a few that are in excess of 15% grade.  The route stays relatively close to the start so that it is easy to head back if we get too wet or cold.

The starting location is at the South Kirkland Park and Ride.  There is no water or restroom facilities at the start so please plan accordingly.    We will plan one food/water stop at a Safeway/Starbucks in Kingsgate.

Steady rain, ice, and snow cancel this ride.  If the ride is cancelled due to weather, a notice will be posted in the comments 2 hours prior and the ride leader will not be at the start.  Be sure to check back on this web site for weather updates if the weather is in doubt.
