Midweek Social Bike Ride

Come and join me for a mid-week social bike ride starting from Sumner to the Trailside Espresso Stand in South Prairie.

Getting a ride or two in on the weekday is just as important as your weekend training ride.  It's a great way to keep your legs conditioned between those training series you signed up for.  And with the new cycling season upon us and many great training series beginning it's important to get out and ride once or twice during the week. My weekday ride is focused on fun and socializing which will offset the hard training rides you endure on the weekends.  This is a moderate paced ride which means we will ride between 14 and 16 mph (on the flats).  Of course on climbs and with headwinds we will be on the low side and with downhills and tailwinds we will cruise on the high end!  

Fenders with buddy flap required if rain is in the forecast.

Restrooms are available, at the start in the Fred Meyer store and along the Foothills trail.

New riders are welcome, but please review link below. Riders should be able to maintain the pace and know how to change a flat tire (and carry the equipment to do so).

Come prepared to fix flats and have a plan for dealing with mechanical issues. Generally the group will not wait for flats/mechanical issues so make sure you know the route or have printed a CUE sheet.

Please register for the ride by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page, click the waiver release box, complete the Emergency Contact Number, and click on Save.  By doing this you will save time at the ride start. If you are unable to attend you do not need to "un-register."

**For mentoring opportunity, please contact the Ride Leader at least two days in advance so that you have time to familiarize yourself with the route and discuss any route issues and raise any other questions.
