TREATS -- Ride from West Seattle to Mercer Island for Lunch
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
“West Seattle to Mercer Island for Lunch” takes us across the Duwamish Waterway, through Sodo, and on the bike path across Lake Washington to Mercer Island. We will circle the island in the clockwise direction then stop for lunch in island’s business district before returning to the start following a slightly different route.
The ride begins at Jack Block Park. We will leave the park at 10:00 a.m. Parking and restrooms are available at the park. The park can also be reached by public transportation – take the King County Water Taxi to West Seattle, or take the Rapid Ride “C” bus and use the first stop, Branford Street, in West Seattle, and ride from there to the start. Plan to arrive 20 minutes early so we can have time to do introductions and the safety briefing and start on time. Bring what you need to address your own mechanical issues.
This is a social ride, and we will stay together. The pace is “steady,” which means riders should be comfortable with riding 12-14 mph on a flat road without headwind.
Steady rain cancels. If a cancellation is necessary, ride leader will not be at the start but will post a notice in the comments section two hours prior to the start.
