Light your bike and join our annual tour of holiday lights through Northwest Seattle neighborhoods. This year's highlights are the Christmas Ships at Golden Gardens Park, the monkeys of Phinney/Greenwood, and the Zoo Lights (external viewing only, but it would be easy to buy tickets and walk through on your own, as the zoo is the last stop on the bike tour).
Exact tour and distance to be determined by the best lighting displays going up in Ballard, but the ride will be a simple loop from Phinney to Ballard and back. We will meet under the "Holiday Glow Cone" (aka Phinney Air Raid Tower) in the small park next to Starbucks at 67th & Phinney Ave. N.
Bring hot chocolate in a thermos, cookies to share, an extra layer of clothes and maybe even an umbrella for a 20-minute stop at the Christmas Ships at Golden Gardens Park (their scheduled stop and musical performance is 4:20-4:40 p.m.)
There will be a prize for best bike lighting, as voted on by the group!
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
