SLOW Ride to Bikes and Bites

Ride SLOW with Senior Ladies on Wheels to check out a three sweet community bike shops that combine bikes and treats.  Ladies and gentlemen of all ages welcome, as long as you ride SLOW!  Following low-traffic, low stress streets and Neighborhood Greenways with few hills, we'll stop in at Peloton, Metier, and the brand new Good Weather  to warm up and maybe indulge in some last-minute shopping for bike lovers.  No one will be left behind - the slowest rider sets the pace.  And there's no shame in getting off and walking a block or so.  We'll grab lunch as we go - or bring your own if you prefer. Expect to spend about 2-3 hours traveling the 6-mile loop.  Rain won't cancel, but if it's pouring rain we might make it a shorter ride.  And snow and ice means we stay home.

This is Cascade Bicycle Club Free Group Ride. It's a social ride with experienced ride leaders to grow your confidence with group riding. It is free and open to everyone. The route consists of beautiful trails, a few low-traffic streets, and scenery.

"Easy Pace" is under 10 mph on flat surface without any headwind. Average walking speed is around 3 mph, so we will be about 3 times faster!. If you aren't sure about your pace, please join us anyway. We will help you find your way back if you need to return to the start early. Carrying ORCA card is another good option.

You should dress appropriately for the weather, but you do not need spandex or other specialized bike gear. All you need is a working bike and a helmet. If you haven't ridden your bike for quite some time, please do a ABC Check (link below) or take it to your local bike shop a few days prior to the ride date.

Please arrive 20 minutes before the published start time to ready your bike, check in and participate in the safety and ride briefing. We will go over hand signals and what we say during the ride to keep outselves safe.

Register -Follow the link to register and sign and e-waiver. . If you do not have an account with Cascade, it is free to create an account. If you cannot make the ride, you do not need to unregister. If you do not register, you will need to sign a paper waiver before the ride.

Weather - Rain will not cancel the ride, but we may choose a shorter route if weather is especially unpleasant. The ride leader will be at the start regardless of the weather to negotiate with those who show up.
